Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Case Management for a travel nursing job in Sylvania, Ohio.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Case Management\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/13/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 5x8hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 13, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a 13-week acute hospital assignment requiring OH or compact RN licensure and 2 years of case management experience.Details\n \n Acute hospital setting supporting adult and geriatric patients across ICU, neuro/stroke, cardiology, oncology, and post-op/orthopedic units\n Day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)\n 4 weekend shifts required per 13-week contract as needed\n Staffing ratio of 1:16 on weekdays and 1:100 on weekends\n Uses Epic for documentation (required) and CarePort; Pyxis medication system; SBAR communication\n Provider support includes interpretation services, IV team, pharmacy, phlebotomy, PT, radiology, rapid response, respiratory, social services, and transportation\n Floating to other units and/or facilities as needed is an expectation for all travelers\n Requirements\n \n Active OH or compact RN license required\n 2 years of case management/utilization review experience required\n Acute hospital MS specialty experience required\n Epic charting experience required\n BLS certification required; BSN preferred\n Case management skills required including admission criteria, appeals and denials, care coordination, medical necessity determination, discharge planning, disease management, DME needs assessment, plan of care, pre-cert review, and prior authorizations\n Familiarity with CMS, Department of Health, HIPAA, OSHA, and Joint Commission/Core Measure regulatory standards required\n 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required\n Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required\n Additional Information\n \n Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, utilization review, and ensuring medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines\n Business casual dress required; scrubs not permitted\n First-time travelers are welcome to apply\n Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted\n Returning staff must have been separated from permanent employment for at least 1 year\n Requested time off exceeding 7 days requires manager approval and cannot include holidays or the days before/after holidays\n Schedule may be adjusted with two weeks' notice to balance staffing needs\n Preferred experience includes teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II settings\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-761945.
