Iowa State Patrol Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement Iowa State Fire Marshal Division of Professional Development and Support Services Division of Intelligence and Fusion Center Administrative Services Division Job Description As a Criminal Intelligence Analyst Senior (Criminal Intelligence Analyst 2), the role requires the following: Perform operational intelligence analysis by providing direct, critical, front‑line intelligence support to ongoing or continuing investigations. Critically evaluate information from multiple sources and determine the importance and limitations of each piece of information. Analyze cellphone data, financial records, computerized databases, open sources, and social media records to provide intelligence support to criminal investigations and to identify criminal activity. Conduct cellular telephone analysis and mapping; critically evaluate information, draw inferences, and apply logic to perform analysis. Accurately prepare written reports and communicate findings. Additional Requirements Scheduled to work Monday‑Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) with occasional work on weekends and evenings. Some travel within the State of Iowa is required. Applicants must successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation conducted by the Iowa Department of Public Safety investigators before a final letter of employment offer is delivered.
