Security Officer - Access Control

As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and respond to alarms and security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon – 06:00 AM – 04:00 PM Tue – 06:00 AM – 04:00 PM Wed – 06:00 AM – 04:00 PM Thur – 06:00 AM – 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site requirements. Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, interior areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Assist with maintaining a professional, orderly environment by directing visitors, supporting badge and key control processes, and reporting policy violations or unusual activity. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Have alarm panel experience preferred. Have access control and badge experience preferred. Hold a state, county, or city-issued security-related license preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
