As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Escalation in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and help maintain a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, perimeter, parking areas, and other designated areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns promptly to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
