As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Alarm Coordination in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and respond to alarms and other security-related concerns. Your visible presence will help deter incidents while you provide professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, data-center-adjacent spaces, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with authorized entry processes and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in alignment with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
