As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Site Patrol in Herndon, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking facilities, building entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and contractor activity, verifying credentials and directing individuals in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and irregular conditions in required reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
