As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Credential Review in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, data center areas, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements; report suspicious activity, damaged property, and maintenance concerns.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence and supporting continuity of operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
