Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Computer Reporting in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology and media location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism. Job Schedule:
DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or guests at a technology and media location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations or security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
