If you have at least one year of experience working on trailers and brakes, possess a valid and current driver's license, and own your own tools, this job could be a good fit for you. As a Trailer Mechanic, your typical day would include: Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing all XTRA Lease equipment as indicated on repair orders and consistent with XTRA Lease repair standards. Performing safety and legally required inspections (FHWA/BIT). Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment. Working out of the XTRA Lease service truck to service customer rentals at nearby locations Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (Preferred) Minimum of 1 year of experience working specifically on trailers Minimum of 1 year of experience working on brakes Must be qualified to complete FHWA inspections Must have a valid and current driver's license As a Trailer Mechanic, you’ll need one year of trailer repair experience to complete FHWA inspections consistent with the Department of Transportation requirements.
