Maintenance Mechanic Days and Nights

Position Overview Maintenance Mechanic at Ocean Spray’s Markham Processing Plant (17 acres, 200,000 square feet). Produces Sweetened Dried Cranberries (Craisins). Schedule: 12‑hour shifts, 4pm‑4am or 4am‑4pm, rotating weekends off (36/48‑hr schedule). Starting pay: $35.05 per hour. Must work indoors with five 20‑minute paid breaks. Responsibilities Maintain, install, rebuild, and repair all plant equipment. Perform general building and support system repairs. Use hand tools and power tools to repair or replace faulty equipment. Diagnose electrical issues with a multimeter and other tools, referencing manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Enter information and input data into the CMMS system accurately. Perform basic boiler and ammonia system maintenance. Fabricate parts using proper machining equipment. Weld broken equipment and tools. Practice 5S and good housekeeping. Assist other maintenance personnel as needed and perform duties assigned by management. Qualifications & Skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong troubleshooting and electrical component replacement skills. Experience with electrical control systems and automation. Knowledge of plant equipment maintenance and operations.
