Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized critical care nursing services in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes. Responsible for delivering comprehensive bedside care to critically ill patients under the supervision of medical staff.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions continuously, responding promptly to changes.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health status, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Comply with all hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio license or compact state license at the time of submission.
• Possess at least 18 months of recent SICU experience, including travel assignments.
• Credentialed with current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments.
• Able to work every other holiday shift as required.
• Pass pre-employment assessments with acceptable scores.
