Registered Nurse - ICU

$2080.80/week -

Job Summary:

The ICU RN is responsible for providing comprehensive critical care to patients in the intensive care unit, ensuring safety, stabilization, and recovery. This role requires expertise in acute patient management, including monitoring and supporting vital functions, and administering specialized treatments.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and prioritize patient needs, implementing appropriate care plans in accordance with physician orders.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs, alarms, and mechanical support devices to detect changes requiring intervention.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, treatments, and procedures following clinical protocols and safety standards.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized patient care strategies.
  
  
• 
  Document clinical findings, interventions, and patient responses accurately within electronic health records.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and their families on ongoing care, treatments, and discharge instructions.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active Ohio license or an active compact state license in hand.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of 18 months of permanent ICU experience within the past 12 months.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate ECG rhythm recognition skills and pass the safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
  
  
• 
  Be nicotine-free, with negative drug screens within the past 12 months, unless exempt as a nurse or CST.
  
  
• 
  Provide a manager or supervisor reference from the past 12 months.
