They should be a visionary leader, familiar with best practices in the field, and have a strong data and analysis orientation to drive decision-making. A background in program management, evaluation, and continuous improvement is essential, as is experience in managing a budget and operating a financially sound organization. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an advanced degree preferred, and nonprofit certification is a plus.
