Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking an experienced Registered Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The technologist will be responsible for preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, capturing diagnostic images, and supporting radiologists in the delivery of accurate and timely patient care. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety and service excellence. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental protocols and physician orders. Prepare, position, and educate patients prior to ultrasound procedures. Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety. Capture and transfer diagnostic images through PACS for physician interpretation. Assist radiologists during ultrasound procedures when required. Monitor equipment functionality, perform routine cleaning, and make minor equipment adjustments as needed. Maintain adequate inventory of ultrasound supplies and equipment. Schedule examinations, answer departmental phone calls, and coordinate patient transportation when necessary. Assist in the orientation and mentoring of new ultrasound personnel. Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, quality assurance, and departmental standards. Qualifications Associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or a related field. Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) . Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience . Current AHA BLS Certification . Proficiency with PACS and ultrasound imaging systems. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and problem-solving skills. Ability to provide exceptional patient care and customer service. Preferred ARRT certification. Experience in a hospital or high-volume diagnostic imaging environment. Experience mentoring or training new sonography staff.
