Job Title: Specialist, Software Engineering Job Code: 41188 Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT Job Schedule: 9/80 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off Job Description: We are seeking a Board Support Package (BSP) software engineer with experience in embedded real-time software development. This position supports existing and next-generation military communications software while working close to hardware, drivers, boot code, RTOS, interfaces, and platform integration. An engineer in this position is responsible for creating designs, adding features to current designs, and developing operating system configurations. Essential Functions: Configuring and patching U-boot and Linux for an embedded system Configuring the root file system for an embedded system Configuring Linux device trees Linux boot process on an embedded system BASH scripting Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
