Shift: Day Shift | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Schedule: 5 x 7.5-Hour Shifts | 37.5 Hours/Week

Schedule Notes: Position in the Ambulatory Care Pediatric Clinic.

Pay Rate: $60-$63/hr.

Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or clinic experience required.
• IV insertion experience required.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Previous pediatric or ambulatory care nursing experience preferred.
• Experience working with medically complex pediatric patients preferred.
• Experience with immunization clinics and pediatric preventive care preferred.

Education

• Associate's Degree (ASN/ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program.
• BSN preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

• New York State RN License.
• Primary Source Verification of License and Registration of Registered Professional Nurse from NYS Department of Education (NYSED).
• AHA BLS Certification.
• AHA ACLS Certification (Queens only).

Job Summary

The Agency Staff Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, and age-appropriate nursing care to pediatric patients in the Ambulatory Care Pediatric Clinic, including patient assessment and triage, medication administration, immunizations, patient and family education, care coordination, documentation, assisting providers with clinic procedures, monitoring patient conditions, maintaining infection prevention and safety standards, supporting clinic operations, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and adhering to hospital policies and pediatric nursing practice standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the Ambulatory Care Pediatric Clinic.
• Perform patient assessment and triage.
• Administer medications and immunizations.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Coordinate patient care and follow-up services.
• Assist providers with clinic procedures.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond to urgent needs.
• Maintain infection prevention and patient safety standards.
• Complete accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and support efficient clinic operations.
