Pharmaceutical Technician IIThe Pharmaceutical Technician II is responsible for the dispensing, compounding, compressing, encapsulating, tablet coating and printing of good manufacturing practice (GMP) commercial batches in an oral solid dosage (OSD) environment.Position SummaryThis position is 100% on-site at the Greenville siteShift: Monday - Thursday 4 pm - 2:30 amCatalent's Greenville, N.C. facility specializes in end-to-end turn-key solutions for oral solid dosage forms, including integrated formulation development, analytical services, commercial manufacturing, and packaging. This state-of-the-art facility has had over $100M of investments in recent years and features fit-for-scale capacity with potent handling capabilities, ideal for orphan or targeted drug development.The RoleIndependently assemble, disassemble, clean and store manufacturing equipmentAbility to troubleshoot machinery and equipment and recommend corrective or preventative measuresEnsure all batch records and logbook entries are accurately documented and compliant with SOPs and FDA cGMP guidelinesMonitor operations for deviations, mechanical issues, and quality assuranceConduct setup, changeover, and manufacturing activities with adherence to SOPs and safety requirementsEscalate and work to resolve any production, quality, or safety issuesAll other duties as assigned.The CandidateHigh school diploma or equivalent with at least three years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry; or Associate degree with at least two years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.OSD experience preferred.Demonstrated proficiency with manufacturing skills, processes and equipment knowledge to serve as a trainer to provide specific technical training on processes and equipment with minimal guidance.Required to obtain internal forklift operation certification.Position requires the ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs unassisted.Majority of work day is performed while standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, squatting, reaching, and climbing.Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.Some exposure to hazardous chemical and other active chemical ingredients.This position requires that a respirator be worn for your safety, and as such, employment is contingent upon being able to complete a medical evaluation with satisfactory results.
