Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller for a 2+ month engagement. This is a hands-on accounting role supporting a professional, global organization. MUST HAVE: Multistate and International Sales Tax experience and be able to troubleshoot in Avalara.Key Responsibilities:Lead and support the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Perform and review advanced accounting activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP.Support domestic and international consolidations across multiple entities.Work with accounting operations involving the UK, Belgium, India, and Australia.Review and approve journal entries and accounting adjustments.Manage and support sales and use tax activities across multiple states.Utilize Avalara to support sales-tax compliance and reporting.Support VAT requirements related to international operations.Prepare and/or support tax provision calculations and related accounting.Support global intercompany activity, including reconciliations and accounting transactions.Research and resolve complex accounting issues and provide hands-on support to the accounting team.Serve as a knowledgeable accounting resource across a variety of financial and operational matters.Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate accounting, reporting, and compliance.Maintain a high level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality in all accounting activities.
