Chief Executive Officer (CEO) About the Company Internationally recognized board for lactation consultants Industry Non-Profit Organization Management Type Non Profit Founded 1985 Employees 11-50 Specialties certification recertification and examination in both computer-based and paper & pencil formats About the Role The Company is in search of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its global certifying organization with a focus on strategic planning, visioning, and leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for recommending and monitoring credentialing and business strategies, leading the implementation of strategic initiatives, and ensuring the highest standards for professional practice. This role requires a dynamic, collaborative, and mission-driven individual with a passion for advancing professional practice in lactation consultation and support. The CEO will also be involved in board administration and support, policy management, financial oversight, and operational and human resources management. Applicants for the CEO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive leadership and management experience in nonprofit organizations, with a preference for those who have served in a senior executive role. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and global experience with a multicultural mindset is essential. The ideal candidate will have a background in leading and managing an accredited professional certification program, a legal mindset or experience, and a strong commitment to high standards and innovation in credentialing practices. Key skills include strong communication, effective listening, decision-making, and proven experience in change management and staff leadership. The CEO will be expected to build relationships, develop and implement a new strategic plan, and work towards increasing the recognition of lactation consultants as part of the healthcare team.
