The successful candidate will join a talented, high-performing team and work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth.The Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications assists with advancing the School’s mission, brand, and strategic priorities through integrated marketing, compelling storytelling, and effective communications. The position collaborates closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, members of the marketing and communications team, the development and admissions office, and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate works well independently, thrives in collaborative team settings, meets project deadlines consistently, and demonstrates keen attention to detail. They must demonstrate integrity in all tasks, be able to think strategically, have strong written and oral communications skills, and thrive in a mission-driven educational environment focused on preparing girls not only to step into the future, but to shape it.In this role, you will partner with the Director of Marketing and Communications and the broader team to promote the School, tell our story, and ensure all messaging, content, and visual identity align with Holton’s strategic priorities. You will also contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture and actively participate in campus events.ResponsibilitiesServe as a strategic partner to the Development Office, producing compelling communications materials including donor stories, alumnae newsletters, and campaign collateral.Ensure consistent brand identity across all communication platforms and materials, including oversight and management of the School's digital presence.Develop and execute strategic media plans and advertising campaigns across digital and print media to support student enrollment initiatives.Manage multiple concurrent marketing and communications projects, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.Create high-impact written, visual, and digital content that advances Holton’s strategic narrative and engages key audiences.Collaborate as a trusted communications advisor with academic and operational departments across campus.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree required, ideally in communications, marketing, or a related field.5–10 years of relevant professional experience in marketing and communications.Proven expertise in branding, strategic messaging, digital advertising, social media, publication development and project management,Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required.Demonstrated experience with, or strong understanding of, philanthropic communications and development office workflows.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.Prior experience in an independent school environment or a passion for working in an all-girls, mission-driven educational institution.Proficiency in graphic design and/or videography is preferred.Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and BelongingHolton-Arms cherishes the uniqueness of each of our members including current and former students, faculty, and staff.
