Position Overview
Section Head of Pediatric Urology to join the Ochsner Department of Urology and Ochsner Children’s Hospital in New Orleans.
Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of three pediatric urologists and an APP within a rapidly growing pediatric program.
- Collaborate with clinicians and organizational leaders to advance the pediatric urology service line.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop pediatric urology faculty and staff.
- Teach residents and medical students in the Ochsner Urology residency program.
- Participate in programmatic activities such as the multidisciplinary myelodysplasia clinic and research initiatives.
Qualifications
- Board‑certified pediatric urologist with clinical experience in a tertiary or quaternary pediatric setting.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and organizational leaders.
- Experience in recruitment, mentorship, and faculty development.
- Strong teaching and clinical leadership skills.
- Commitment to providing high‑quality pediatric patient care.
