Principal Engineer, Project Engineering (Onsite)

Project EngineerDevelopment Operations (DO) Test Systems Engineering (TSE) is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to manage Special Test Equipment (STE) design projects in support of validation and production testing of jet engines and engine components. This position is based in East Hartford, CT.Lead a multidiscipline DO team through an estimating process to provide a comprehensive plan when required to secure future workInitiate design kick off. Identify and align on project scope with stakeholdersManage design requirements and ensure gap closure by need datesContinuously monitor and track project schedule and Estimate at Completion (EAC) to ensure design and fabrication are within cost and schedule constraintsPrepare and present EV status of all tasks that require EVMSEnsure timely completion of project milestones such as design reviews to meet schedule requirements.Schedule design reviews, ensuring that presentations are comprehensive, complete, and meet entrance and exit criteriaManage the procurement of STE. Periodically track fabrication at outside vendors to ensure on-time deliveryContinually assess and communicate project status and risks to TSE management, customers, and key stakeholdersTravel is up to 10%.Qualifications You Must HaveBachelor's Degree in a STEM8 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree in a STEM with 5 years of engineering experienceQualifications We PreferKnowledge and experience with Project Management toolsets (e.g., Agile, SAP, Primavera, or MS Project)Bachelor in EngineeringDemonstrated experience leading engineering teams, budgets, and schedulesKnowledge of standard manufacturing methodsActive Secret ClearanceWhat We Offer:Employee Scholar ProgramThis role is Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
