Messaging Services Senior Specialist

We are currently seeking a Messaging Services Senior Specialist to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).

Role and Responsibilities:
•    Malware & Phishing Defense: Manage Cisco Talos threat intelligence feeds to block spam, viruses, and malicious attachments. Utilize Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) for file reputation and sandboxing.
•    Connection & Reputation Filtering: Adjust IP, domain, and sender reputation parameters to drop malicious connection attempts.
•    Outbreak Filters: Configure real-time outbreak rules to protect against new, zero-day threat campaigns
•    Content Filtering: Create custom message filters to block specific file types, strip harmful scripts, or enforce company-wide disclaimers
•    Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Set up policies to scan outbound traffic and prevent the leakage of sensitive data (e.g., PII, financial information)
•    Domain Security: Enforce Sender Policy Framework (SPF), DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM), and Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance (DMARC) to prevent domain spoofing
•    Message Tracking & Analytics: Track message dispositions, investigate delivery failures, and generate executive reports on threat trends using centralized management dashboards
•    Quarantine Management: Review, release, or delete quarantined emails, and address false positives to prevent business disruption
•    Monitor Sender Ecosystem: Regularly review Valimail Monitor or Enforce reports to identify and track all third-party services sending emails on your domain's behalf
•    Monitoring & Visibility: Review the Valimail Monitor dashboard to identify unapproved third-party services and unauthorized IP addresses
•    Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for email security incidents.
•    Manage configuration, upgrades, and patching for Cisco Secure Email and Valimail environments.
•    Collaborate with IT security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to maintain optimal email security posture.
•    Develop and update technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
•    Participate in security audits, support incident response activities, and assist with email threat investigations.
•    Plan and Coordinate with the vendor for regular health checks and implement vendor recommendations
•    Provides deep subject matter expertise, advice and program delivery.
•    Support 24x7 steady state operations-Flexible working in US business hours for all required work done and during weekends.
•    Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures.
•     Candidates must have exceptional customer service, problem solving, and communication skills
•    Possess the ability to work independently with minimal management supervision and with a global team of engineers

Technical Skillset:
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
•    5+ years of experience in Proofpoint Email security Solution.
•    Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Secure Email (formerly Cisco Email Security Appliance/ESA) and Valimail.
•    Proficiency in email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3) and email authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
•    Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and security best practices.
•    Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
