This role focuses on welding steel frames using flux core and stick welding techniques, ensuring strong, accurate, and high-quality welds across flat positions and supporting fabrication activities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Weld steel frames using flux core welding processes in flat positions with consistent quality and precision.
• Perform stick welding on various steel components, following project specifications and safety standards.
• Interpret basic instructions or fabrication requirements to complete welds according to design needs.
• Inspect welds for structural integrity, accuracy, and appearance, and make adjustments or repairs as required.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues or defects promptly.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment while welding and fabricating.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure welded components meet project timelines and quality expectations.

Essential Skills

• Proven ability to weld steel frames using flux core welding techniques.
• Hands-on experience with stick welding on steel components.
• Practical knowledge of fabrication processes related to welded structures.
• Ability to weld in flat positions with consistent quality and accuracy.

This role takes place in a workshop or fabrication setting where you work directly with steel frames and welding equipment. You can expect regular use of flux core and stick welding machines, hand tools, and standard fabrication tools. The environment emphasizes safety, including the use of appropriate protective gear such as helmets, gloves, and protective clothing, and may involve standing for extended periods and working around metal materials and machinery.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
