Senior Buyer – Aerospace Operations As a Senior Buyer within Pall Aerospace Operations, you will lead strategic and tactical procurement, inventory control, and supplier management for assigned aerospace suppliers. You will plan and execute Danaher Materials System (DMS) strategies at Gemba to meet on‑time delivery performance, reduce past‑due items, and optimize inventory. The role includes mentoring and training team members. The position is based onsite in New Port Richey, FL, with a typical Monday‑through‑Friday schedule. Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with key aerospace suppliers. Monitor supplier performance (on‑time delivery, quality, cost) and lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution. Ensure timely purchase order placement and follow‑through. Manage shortages, expedite critical materials, and mitigate supply risks. Ensure suppliers comply with aerospace standards (AS9100, NADCAP, ITAR where applicable). Participate in audits and drive supplier quality improvements. Partner with engineering on new product introductions (NPI) and supplier qualification; work closely with finance on cost management and inventory targets. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related field with five (5) years of procurement or supply‑chain experience in aerospace or manufacturing, or a high‑school diploma (GED) with seven (7) years of experience. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. Knowledge of aerospace standards and regulatory requirements. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar). Understanding of regulatory compliance (ITAR/EAR preferred). Physical / Environment Requirements Prolonged computer work. Frequent sitting, twisting, and bending. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Approximately 10% domestic travel. Preferred Experience Electronic sourcing tools for RFI, RFQ, reverse auction. Global sourcing, supplier relationship development, and implementation of optimal purchasing patterns. Certifications such as IOM, CIPS, APP, CPM, CPIM.
