Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring a minimum of 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience and Epic proficiency, with night shift availability.

Details

• CVICU setting in a hospital environment with a 36-bed unit
• Targeted patient ratio of 1:2
• Works with telemetry monitoring, drips, and ventilators
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• 36- or 48-hour weekly contract options available
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Travelers are first to float at the health system's discretion, within medically appropriate specialty clusters
• Floating may include assignments across multiple campuses within a 15-mile radius of the main campus
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license required (does not need to be in hand at signing)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience required
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Experience with A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs required
• Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to starting the assignment
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Provide advanced cardiovascular critical care nursing to ICU patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring and life-sustaining interventions
• Navy blue scrubs required
• RTO must be submitted with the initial application — no RTO will be added after an offer is extended, and approval is at the manager's discretion
