Assist in determining the suitability of donors Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness and donor confidentiality Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment Work in a plasma center while following occupational safety and protective-equipment requirements Requirements High School diploma or GED Superior customer service standards Ability to work a flexible schedule Interest in making a difference in the world Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable Patient and reliable approach to donor care Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions Ability to listen to and understand spoken information Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day Frequent hand, finger, wrist, and foot movements Ability to make precise coordinated movements and manipulate objects Ability to walk up to 6–8 hours per day Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
