RN - PCU

Registered Nurse - Cardiac and Stroke Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 18:45 to 07:15.

Join our dynamic cardiac and stroke unit, providing care for patients in a fast-paced environment. Nurses will handle a variety of cases, ensuring high standards of care in telemetry, medication administration, and patient management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for pre and post-procedure patients, primarily cardiac patients.
• Manage multiple cardiac drips and ensure patient stability.
• Monitor patients on telemetry and perform EKG tests.
• Administer IV medications and manage cardiac interventions.
• Participate in weekend shifts and on-call rotations as needed.
• Assist in admissions and discharges in collaboration with team leads.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a busy cardiac or telemetry unit.
• Current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications.
• Telemetry experience required; ability to manage cardiac drips strongly preferred.
• Nursing License: Active NC or Compact license.
