Job Summary

Provide specialized respiratory care to adult patients in a hospital setting, ensuring effective management of respiratory conditions and critical care needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and efficient patient treatment.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, procedures, and diagnostics as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient respiratory status, adjust therapies accordingly.
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including ventilators, ECMO, IABP, and Impella.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and update care plans.
• Document patient care and responses accurately in electronic medical records.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Hold NBRC RRT certification, BLS, and ACLS credentials.
• Possess at least 2 years of adult critical care respiratory therapy experience.
• Valid South Carolina respiratory care license or eligibility.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ventilator management and complex respiratory procedures.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Capable of working flexible shifts, including nights and every other weekend.
