Sales Lead - Chico's

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Sales Lead is responsible for supporting Management in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture. The role focuses on creating a great customer experience and maximum profitability while upholding the company's values and guiding principles.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive for Results: Establishes and communicates clear expectations, holding store team and themselves accountable for meeting all brand, performance, and behavior standards. Performs basic operational activities such as opening and closing duties and merchandise flow processes. Supervises associates conducting sales, inventory receipt, cash reconciliation, and customer service. Utilizes weekly schedules to ensure adequate floor coverage within fiscal guidelines. Maintains standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed by Management. Develops a high‑performance culture and motivates the sales team to meet assigned sales and productivity goals; meets personal sales goals. Trains and coaches the selling team on product knowledge both online and in‑store. Assists with locating fulfillment and selling. Build High‑Performing Teams: Motivates and inspires the store team, promotes core values, and models inclusive, collaborative problem‑solving. Communicates with store teams and Store Management to lead positive change. Seeks personal developmental opportunities and solicits feedback to build leadership skills. Customer Experience: Models, teaches, and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, providing a cohesive omni‑channel experience. Uses techniques to recommend merchandise, assist in locating/obtaining products, and build a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobe advice. Ensures prompt resolution of customer concerns and a fast, efficient register experience while staying current on payment policies, refunds, and security practices. Maintains consistent client communication using customer books, rewards programs, and customer capture sign‑ups. Talent: Supports training programs, seminars, and other initiatives. Develops store associates, interprets KPI reports, delivers coaching, and provides performance evaluation feedback to Store Manager. Drives associate and team engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance. Ensures compliance with employment practices and policies. Other duties as assigned. This position may be found in multiple brands. Some duties may vary from brand to brand.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older. Excellent communication, verbal and written skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company. Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Regular attendance is essential; ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant walking/standing – 67–100% of an 8‑hour shift. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. – 1–33% of an 8‑hour shift. Frequent climbing – 34–66% of an 8‑hour shift.
