Position: Receptionist

Location: Lakeland

Schedule: Full-Time | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $16–$17 per hour

About The Role

Breezy Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for visitors, residents, families, and staff, you’ll play an essential role in creating a welcoming, safe, and positive experience for everyone who enters our facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, direct calls appropriately, and take accurate messages.
• Greet visitors warmly and ensure proper sign-in procedures are followed.
• Provide general information about the facility, including directions and visitor assistance.
• Operate phone and paging systems efficiently.
• Assist residents with phone communication and general front-desk support.
• Maintain front-door security and monitor visitor access logs.
• Monitor for elopement-risk residents and report concerns promptly.
• Assist with scheduling resident appointments, clinic passes, and tracking in/out logs.
• Handle petty cash transactions and assist with vending machine operations.
• Maintain updated directories for staff, residents, and key contacts.
• Coordinate transportation requests with the facility driver.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
• Support administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of receptionist or front-desk experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
• Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Experience in healthcare or long-term care settings is a plus.
