RN - Neuro ICU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Must-Have: Experience with ICP monitoring, ventilator management, and telemetry Description:RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.First-time travelers will not be accepted.Locals are accepted with a rate difference.Staffing ratios are typically 2:1 but may occasionally be 3:1.The unit will accept contracts of 13 weeks or longer.Night shifts are 12 hours long.Floats to other ICUs and intermediate units may be required.Every other weekend work is expected.This unit caters to patients in a Neuroscience Intensive Care setting.Candidates should have significant experience in stroke management, ICP management, seizure management, and critical care patient management.Experience in titrating drips and managing invasive equipment is essential.Special equipment includes EVD management and ventilator management.Unit systems used include Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR.All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty.Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.No RTO during the first week of employment.All RTO must be pre-approved.Candidates must be open to floating within and near the facility.References can be pending at submission.Pre-start modules should be completed prior to starting the assignment and are non-billable.Modules will be conducted online and must be completed annually. #J-18808-Ljbffr
