Oil Heat / HVAC Service & Installation Technician – Up to $60 Per Book Hour + Guaranteed Minimum Ridgell Oil Company is hiring an experienced Oil Heat / HVAC Service & Installation Technician to join our team in Southern Maryland. We are looking for a well-rounded technician with experience in oil-fired heating systems, heat pumps, HVAC service, and equipment replacements/installations. This is not strictly a service position. We want someone who can diagnose and repair existing systems as well as perform complete HVAC equipment replacements and installations. PAY Up to $60 per book hour With a guaranteed minimum Our pay structure rewards experienced, productive technicians while providing the security of guaranteed minimum compensation. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - Minimum 3 years of HVAC / heating experience - Oil heat experience required - Experience servicing and repairing oil-fired furnaces - Experience servicing and repairing oil-burning boilers - Heat pump service and diagnostic experience - Experience with HVAC equipment replacements and installations - Ability to remove and replace furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers, and related HVAC equipment - Knowledge of oil burners, controls, ignition systems, pumps, nozzles, electrodes, combustion, and related components - Strong electrical and HVAC troubleshooting skills - Ability to diagnose and complete repairs independently - Ability to perform quality equipment replacements and installations - Professional communication and customer-service skills - Dependable and organized - Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Applicants must have experience with oil-fired heating equipment. Heat pump and HVAC replacement experience is strongly preferred.
