Job Summary:

Provides occupational therapy services to patients in outpatient settings, focusing on restoring function and enhancing quality of life following injury, illness, or disability. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administers prescribed occupational therapy treatments aimed at maximizing patient independence and functional ability.
  
  
• 
  Performs comprehensive evaluations and assessments, including progress re-evaluations, to determine patient needs and treatment effectiveness.
  
  
• 
  Educates patients and their families on therapy techniques, adaptive strategies, and injury prevention, respecting cultural and psychosocial considerations.
  
  
• 
  Operates and maintains therapy equipment safely, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  
  
• 
  Coordinates patient care with physicians, staff, and third-party providers, ensuring compliance with policies and protocols.
  
  
• 
  Supervises and mentors occupational therapy assistants, students, and support staff, supporting departmental training and development.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in New Hampshire, with NH eligibility.
  
  
• 
  Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
  
  
• 
  BLS (AHA) certification required.
  
  
• 
  Experience in outpatient occupational therapy preferred.
  
  
• 
  Strong assessment, manual therapy, neuro-rehab, and client education skills.
  
  
• 
  Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
