Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Staff Pharmacist position is available to support inpatient hospital pharmacy operations within a well-structured team. This contract role requires expertise in hospital inpatient pharmacy, with a focus on delivering safe, accurate medication management and collaborating closely with clinical staff.

Location: Logan, OH
Schedule:

• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm
• Occasional on-call duties after some shifts
• Occasional Saturday shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  Contract Duration: Minimum 8 weeks, with a start date of 10/12/2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and review medication orders for accuracy, proper dosing, allergies, drug interactions, and contraindications
• Enter and process orders using the Epic order entry system
• Prepare and dispense medications for inpatient units, including IV and sterile compounding as needed
• Monitor high-risk medications such as IVs, antibiotics, TPN, and PCA medications
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy
• Respond to medication-related inquiries from care teams and patients
• Manage automated dispensing cabinets and ensure correct medication stocking
• Engage in medication reconciliation and maintain accurate medication histories
• Ensure medication safety and adherence to hospital pharmacy policies, including controlled substances
• Provide clinical pharmacy services such as antibiotic stewardship and anticoagulation monitoring
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and PRN weekend pharmacists
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support pharmacy operational efficiency

Qualifications/Experience:

• Valid Ohio Pharmacist licensure is required
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience with demonstrated proficiency using Epic systems
• Familiarity with specialty areas including Emergency Department, Infusion, and Orthopedics
• Strong knowledge of sterile compounding and IV medication preparation
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
