Job Summary and Qualifications The Discrepancy (Underpayment) Resolution Team Lead is responsible for assisting the Underpayment Resolutions Manager with training of the Underpayment Resolution department and performing daily discrepancy account resolution and coding. What you will do in this role: Provide introductory and ongoing training and education to staff to ensure policies and procedures are followed. Meet with the Manager regularly to effectively communicate and resolve underpayment issues, set and prioritize goals, and improve processes. Assist with staff communication, providing updates, resolving issues, setting goals and maintaining standards, including performing QA reviews for staff. Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and patient and customer service policies. Monitor inventory by running appropriate reports and contacting insurance companies to resolve claims. Identify problem accounts and escalates as appropriate. Update the patient account record to identify actions taken on the account. Assist manager with development and implementation of department and project action plans. What you will need in this role: High School diploma or GED preferred. At least one year of related experience required.
