About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Chemo Certified Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30); Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related field, Charge Nurse experience preferred. License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: BSN, CA RN License, Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate, BLS Must-Have: Experience administering chemotherapy is required. Ability to float to other facilities as needed. Completed references must be provided at the time of application. Description: We are seeking an Oncology Nurse with chemotherapy certification. The ideal candidate will have experience in administering chemotherapy and providing patient care in an oncology setting. Charge Nurse experience and telemetry experience are preferred. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT). Candidates with academic medical center experience are highly preferred. Cellular therapy experience is a plus. Administering chemotherapy and managing patient care for oncology patients will be key responsibilities. You will work with patients diagnosed with lymphoma, leukemia, myeloma, and other solid tumors. The nurse will be involved in special procedures and contribute to clinical trials. You will have the opportunity to provide end-of-life care and support to patients and families. The role may require occasional floating to other units or facilities. Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team are essential. The ability to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values and manage side effects is critical.
