Quality Inspector

Quality Control SpecialistPerforms quality checks on sampling of raw materials, various stages of manufacturing, and after product completion using laboratory-testing equipment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Obtains samples from raw materials, using laboratory instruments, evaluates for adherence to Company standards of quality and appearance.Obtains random samples from various stages of production and checks with laboratory instruments that the samples meet Company quality standards and customer's standards.Obtains random samples from finished production and checks with laboratory instruments that the samples meet company quality standards and customer's standards.May accumulate scrap, keep up with scrap inventory, and prepare necessary reporting of scrap.Works closely with Quality Assurance Manager in establishing proper quality standards.Keeps work area clean and orderly. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.Basic Math: The ability to add, subtract, multiply or divide.
