Responsibilities You'll Undertake

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients, order necessary diagnostic tests, and develop personalized care plans
• Assess and manage acute, episodic, or chronic health issues, collaborating with physicians or working independently depending on your credentials
• Instruct patients and their families on preventive measures, wellness practices, and effective disease management
• Prescribe medications and therapies consistent with your scope of practice

Education and Experience Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Michigan
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a similar specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within 90 days)
