Heavy Assembler IIIThe Heavy Assembler III works as part of a small team to build large industrial radiators used in warehouses, production facilities, and data centers. This role involves hands-on mechanical assembly using hand and power tools, working at heights on ladders or scissor lifts, and operating overhead cranes to move heavy components. The assembler follows blueprints and measurements to complete assemblies across multiple workstations and performs leak testing to ensure product quality.ResponsibilitiesAssemble large industrial radiators and related components in teams of 1–3, following detailed blueprints and work instructions.Use hand and power tools to secure parts, fasteners, and structural elements to build complete radiator units or subassemblies.Operate overhead cranes to safely lift, position, and move heavy parts and assemblies within the work area.Climb ladders or use scissor lifts to access and work on top of large radiators, some as large as a semi trailer.Measure components accurately using a tape measure to ensure correct fit, alignment, and adherence to specifications.Work across multiple assembly areas that build either radiator parts or full radiator systems, as assigned.Perform leak tests on completed radiators to verify integrity, quality, and performance before release.Follow all safety procedures when working with tools, heavy equipment, overhead cranes, and at heights.Maintain a clean and organized work area and contribute to the overall cleanliness of the assembly and fabrication shop.Communicate effectively with team members and the Assembly Supervisor regarding progress, issues, and improvement opportunities.Essential SkillsAt least 6 years of mechanical assembly experience in an industrial or similar environment.At least 6 years of experience using power tools in a production or assembly setting.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.Proficiency in reading and using a tape measure accurately.Experience operating overhead cranes for lifting and moving heavy components.Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with mechanical assembly processes and techniques.Ability to work safely at heights using ladders and scissor lifts.Stable work history, including at least 18 months of tenure with one employer within the past 5 years.Ability to work collaboratively in small teams and follow direction from supervisors.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience assembling large industrial equipment or heavy-duty mechanical systems.History in assembling products for warehouses, production facilities, or data centers.Strong attention to detail and quality, including experience performing basic testing such as leak checks.Comfort working in a non-temperature-controlled environment, including hot conditions during summer months.Willingness to learn and adapt as the business expands its focus on radiators for data centers.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from a structured progression of pay increases, including an increase upon hire and additional raises at 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years, recognizing performance and tenure. Starting pay at $23/hr.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in an assembly and fabrication shop that builds industrial radiators for warehouses, production facilities, and data centers. The facility is clean and organized, with multiple assembly areas dedicated to different stages of radiator production. Work is performed on a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The environment is not temperature controlled and can become hot during the summer, so candidates should be comfortable working in varying temperatures. The position reports to an Assembly Supervisor and involves regular use of hand and power tools, overhead cranes, ladders, and scissor lifts. The company is placing a strong emphasis on radiators for data centers, reflecting a forward-looking focus on future business demand.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of KENOSHA, WI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
