C.Bargaining Unit: YesThe Workforce Education Center is an arm of the Division of Adult & Continuing Education at LaGuardia Community College that works with youth ages 14-24 who need improvement in academic skills, an internship, a high school equivalency diploma, community service experience, entry into the job market or interested in entering college. The Site Monitor positions are responsible for the monitoring of approved worksites where Summer Youth Employment and Work Learn & Grow students are completing assigned internships. The worksites are in four of the five boroughs of New York City. Twenty-five positions will be available from June 22, 2026 through August 31, 2026. The Worksite Monitors report directly to the SYEP Program Director.Performance Responsibilities:Monitor participants' performance at worksitesProvide regular feedback to program coordinatorMaintain, collect, and organize participant time sheets on a weekly basisEnsure worksites are providing a safe and supportive environment to youth assigned to the siteMonitor and report any issues or violations to proper personnelConduct worksite assessments on a weekly basisInteract with worksite supervisors and participantsAct as a liaison between the worksite and the contractorDistribute and collect participant evaluationsPrepare Participant Service Questionnaire (PSQ) FormsPerform additional duties as assigned by the coordinatorOther Duties:Assist with processing participant's payrollAssist with distribution of payroll cardsAssist with production of participants' ID cardsAssist with enrollment and job placementAssist with the presentation of the program's educational workshopsAssist with reflection sessionsPerform additional duties as assigned by the SYEP Program DirectorCore Competencies:Extreme attention to detail and strong multi-taskerAbility to make deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience working with the target populationExcellent problem-solving skillsEffective conflict resolution skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to navigate the New York City transportation systemsAbility to work with a culturally diverse youth population-sometimes in a virtual settingMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma required, Associates Degree or currently enrolled in college preferredProficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with Social Media platformsPay Range: Minimum - Maximum: $40,040.00RFCUNY Benefits RFCUNY Employee Benefits and AccrualsAbout the Research Foundation The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) is a nonprofit educational corporation founded in 1963 to provide post-award fiscal and administrative support for CUNY's research and sponsored programs.
