Allegheny Health Network is seeking candidates for a position at Allegheny General Hospital within the Hospital Operations department. This is a full-time role with a shift of 80 hours every two weeks, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as per policy. The union status for this position is non-union.

The unit operates under the leadership and support of Allegheny General's Hospital Operations, which coordinates staffing resources, patient flow, and bed utilization to enhance patient care.

This job functions as an administrative liaison between staff, patients, physicians, families, other hospital departments, and outside agencies.

Essential responsibilities include:

• Administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the administrator on call, Legal Dept, and/or Risk Management when appropriate.
• Serving as a resource person in dealing with complex or complicated patients, identifying and resolving issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
• Facilitating patient flow, identifying and resolving issues affecting the delivery of patient care, ensuring resources are utilized appropriately and in a cost-effective manner.
• Ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures of the facility and with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• 3 years recent nursing experience
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• CPR American Heart Association

Preferred:

• BSN
• Previous management experience
