Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using standardized assessments paired with observational insights.
• Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family caregivers, and loved ones to develop integrated care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to enhance progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity throughout the recovery process.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay abreast of industry advancements through ongoing education and collaborative peer learning.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
