RN - Cath Lab Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Cath Lab experience required Must-Have: Experience in circulating, scrubbing, monitoring, pre-op, and recovery in the Cath Lab. Description:This position is for a travel Registered Nurse in a Cardiac Cath Lab.The unit includes 6 holding bays and 2 procedure rooms.The staff consists of a total of 13 members, including full-time, part-time, and PRN positions.Day shifts on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are the busiest.Full-time staff typically work 12-hour days or longer until tasks are complete.Patient ratios are managed by 4-man teams, with RNs rotating through holding, pre-op, and recovery.The unit utilizes both GE and Philips Cath Lab equipment for procedures.The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech/Merge.There is an on-call requirement, averaging 15 days within a 6-week scheduling period.If short of hours, staff may float to assist in other departments as needed.Common procedures performed include R/L heart catheterizations, peripheral and carotid angiograms/stents, PE/DVT cases, and various cardiac interventions.The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and be a team player.The department is known for its collaborative atmosphere with minimal drama.The community offers amenities typical of larger cities while maintaining a friendly and inviting atmosphere. #J-18808-Ljbffr
