Call Center Support Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Call Center Support Specialist for a temporary assignment supporting public sector election operations in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role is ideal for candidates with strong communication skills, accurate data entry abilities, and a commitment to providing reliable service to the public As a Call Center Support Specialist, you will serve as a key point of contact for voters and community members, helping provide timely information related to voter registration, Vote-by-Mail requests, polling locations, election dates, and election procedures. Key Responsibilities Answer a high volume of inbound calls from voters and the public in a courteous and professional manner. Provide accurate information regarding voter registration, Vote-by-Mail, polling locations, election dates, and related procedures. Research voter records using agency systems and document customer interactions accurately. Perform data entry and update voter information while maintaining strong attention to detail. Protect confidential voter records and follow established security, quality, and operational procedures. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support timely and efficient call center operations. Compensation and Benefits Pay rate: $22.00 per hour. Job type: Contract/temporary assignment. Assignment dates: September 21, 2026 through November 10, 2026. Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL. This position is contingent upon successful completion of required background screenings. For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required. Required Qualifications and Skills Handle inbound voter and public information calls in a high-volume call center environment. Research voter records, document interactions, and complete accurate data entry. Support election operations by following established procedures for confidentiality, security, and service quality. High school diploma or equivalent required. 1 to 2 years of relevant customer service, call center, administrative support, or public-facing experience preferred. Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM required. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and web-based applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills and professional telephone etiquette. Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Must follow all established security, confidentiality, equipment-handling, and operational procedures. Preferred Qualifications Prior call center experience in a government, public sector, election operations, or regulated environment. Experience researching records or updating information in database systems. Bilingual communication skills may be helpful in serving a diverse public audience.
