Field Service Technician

In this hands‑on role, you will be responsible for the installation and support of Flexim Flow and Analytical products and write reports as required by the position. You will also provide training and application support to end users and technical sales reps to ensure products are easily installed, easily serviced, and meet the functional and performance needs of our customers, helping ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations while contributing to Emerson’s commitment to innovation, integrity, collaboration, and inclusion. This position requires a degree of physical work such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, carrying tool cases, and sometimes working in demanding industrial environments. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Perform on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of Emerson Flexim products and systems at customer locations Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues using technical documentation, tools, and best practices Perform field tests, surveys and upgrades of installed systems Provide clear, professional communication to customers regarding findings, solutions, and recommendations Complete service documentation accurately and in a timely manner using digital tools and systems Provide customer service, application support, and product training to end users, technical sales reps and employees Ability to travel with minimal notice Follow all safety, quality, and compliance requirements while working independently or with team members Collaborate with internal partners such as engineering, sales, and technical support to resolve complex issues Communicate and work with the product development team Participate in training and continuous learning opportunities to expand technical capabilities and product knowledge Write training manuals and technical procedures Assist and train newer field service technicians Represent Emerson’s values by delivering dependable service and a positive customer experience Who You Are: You take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. For This Role, You Will Need: Hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, or maintaining technical equipment in a field or service environment At least 5 years of work experience in an Instrument and Controls environment Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and procedures Comfort working independently at customer sites while staying connected to a broader team Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Effective verbal and written communication skills A valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as required Ability to travel up to 50% Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.
