FLORIDA-LICENSED HOME INSPECTOR

Paid Entry-Level Training and Long-Term Career Opportunity
Location: Central Florida

Newly licensed and experienced inspectors are welcome to apply. However, applicants must understand that obtaining a Florida license is only the beginning of becoming a professional home inspector.

We are willing to invest substantial time, knowledge, field experience and resources in developing the right individual. In return, we expect commitment, accountability, preparation, humility and a genuine desire to master the profession.

This is a career-development opportunity—not an immediate experienced-inspector position.

New inspectors will require supervision, field training, report review and ongoing coaching before they are permitted to represent the company independently. Training is paid, but the training rate reflects that the individual is still learning and is not yet producing inspections independently.

Applicants expecting experienced-inspector compensation while requiring complete foundational training will not be a good fit for this position.

The right candidate understands that professional growth requires repetition, constructive feedback, continued study and progressive responsibility. Increased compensation is earned by demonstrating competence, reliability, efficiency, customer-service ability and consistently accurate reporting.

COMPENSATION AND ADVANCEMENT

• Entry-level training compensation begins at $15 per hour
• Training hours and duration depend on inspection volume and the candidate’s progress
• Completion of training is based on demonstrated competency—not simply time employed
• Compensation increases as the inspector becomes qualified to perform services independently
• Experienced applicants may qualify for an accelerated evaluation and compensation level
• Inspection assignments and income may fluctuate with seasonal business volume
• Long-term earning potential is based on capability, production, service quality and company demand

No specific inspection volume or annual income is guaranteed.

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform residential and commercial property inspections to identify and document observable deficiencies, material defects, safety concerns and deferred maintenance. Inspectors must provide exceptional customer service, communicate findings clearly and produce accurate, professional reports.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active Florida Home Inspector License
• Foundational home-inspection education already completed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn inspection software
• Ability to work independently and manage a changing daily schedule
• Willingness to accept instruction, correction and report review
• Dependability and commitment to completing the company’s training process
• Experience in construction, building trades, engineering, insurance, real estate, management, education, military service, fire service or a related field is preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct residential and commercial property inspections
• Identify and document material defects, safety concerns and maintenance issues
• Communicate findings clearly to clients, agents and other stakeholders
• Produce accurate, detailed and professional inspection reports
• Follow company procedures and quality-control standards
• Represent the company professionally
• Deliver outstanding customer service
• Maintain efficiency without sacrificing inspection or report quality
• Participate in required training and continuing education
• Accept and apply coaching and corrective feedback

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be able to perform the following duties, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Climb and properly use ladders
• Access roofs when conditions permit
• Enter accessible attics and crawlspaces
• Walk properties for extended periods
• Work outdoors in Florida heat and weather
• Lift and carry inspection equipment
• Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch and climb
• Maintain balance on uneven surfaces
• Distinguish colors, patterns, moisture indicators and visual defects
• Hear and communicate effectively with clients and team members
