Physical Therapist

divh2Clinic Rehab Aide/h2pReports daily to and is under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist and/or Occupational Therapist in accordance with State Practice Act. Also reports to Administrative Manager and/or the Director of Operations for the market. Possesses training and/or experience which allows him/her to aide therapists in carrying out rehabilitation procedures, organize/schedule and keep records of ancillary services (i.e. FCEs) and support other center-specific functions. The essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:/pulliProvides quality customer service with each patient interaction (through both verbal and written communication)./liliFollows compliance with standardized Administrative Policies and Procedures./liliFollows directions regarding standardized, efficient and effective front office processes and procedures./liliManages patient scheduling of new and follow-up appointments to meet specified benchmarks./liliOrders clinical and office supplies for the center. Prepares, obtains and mails all of the centers AP (where applicable). Opens all mail./liliCompletes all reports and projects accurately and timely to meet all established deadlines and service standards per center and company operational needs./liliDemonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook./liliCollects all applicable co-payments and patient deductibles from patients. Batches and reconciles all co-payments and deductibles collected./liliEffectively communicates, whether verbal or written, all patient, physician, insurance, billing or reimbursement issues associated with patient care services with CBO Employees, CODs, MCOs, CMs, DOOs, and AMs./liliResponsible for Daily Productivity and Performance Reports as well as accuracy of such reports including but not limited to: Batch Summary, DOC, Medical Records Request Report, Unscheduled and 1,2,3 Reports, etc./liliCompletes all items on the Clinic Rehab Aide Checklist demonstrating compliance with our established standards./liliEstablishes, organizes and maintains files/records and waiting area for patients./liliUnderstands that our customers are both internal and external to the organization and that all staff is expected to uphold the Service Culture Theme and Standards./liliPrepares for new patients by having a patient chart made before initial visit including but not limited to: prescriptions, authorizations, and insurance information. Maintains patient charts to VibrantCares policies and procedures./liliEffectively explains new patient (NP) insurance benefits./liliCarries out activities delegated by supervisor as allowed under State Practice Act/liliCleans, sterilizes and maintains hydrocollators, cleaning and maintenance of pools (where applicable) paraffin units and logs temperatures as outlined in policy and procedure manual; keeps current with laundry and maintains full supply of therapy supplies; cleans and maintains all other therapy/exercise equipment; follows OSHA guidelines for safety inspections, cleaning, disinfecting, storage of chemicals, disposal of waste./liliObserves and reports to the supervising therapist any abnormal patient conditions, reactions and responses to treatment in an efficient, professional manner./liliParticipates in clinical in-services when appropriate/liliRuns and/or participates in disaster drills/liliPerform housekeeping duties (as applicable) including but not limited to dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting and vacuuming restroom, gym area and gym equipment/liliPerforms or assists in any task/special project assigned by Center Manager, Market Manager, Administrative Manager, Director or Operations or other manager at VibrantCare./li/ulpRequired Skills Abilities:/pulliAbility to demonstrate effective customer service skills both oral and written./liliCommunication and interpersonal skills are concise and organized (both oral and written)./liliEffective organizational, time management and planning skills./liliComputer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook) including accurate data entry skills for automated facilities./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliAbility to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a weekday/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone./liliAbility to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a work day/shift./liliVisual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions./liliAbility to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions./liliAbility to push wheeled equipment through the facility./liliPossess fine motor skills for clear and accurate writing of reports, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through the use of dictation equipment./liliPossess fine motor skills for the effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment./li/ulpRequired Credentials:/pulliHigh school diploma or GED required./liliCurrent CPR certification./liliSome coursework or practical experience in a healthcare-related field and basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology/li/ul/div
