Work Environment

The successful applicant will work onsite in our well-equipped surgical center, collaborating closely with a team of renowned orthopaedic surgeons and other health professionals. The work schedule is structured for work-life balance, running Monday through Friday, 8 hours daily, with no weekend shifts, making this an appealing environment for both professional growth and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced practitioner care to orthopaedic patients under the supervision of specialized physicians, focusing on diagnostic, therapeutic, procedural, and preventative interventions.
• Conduct thorough patient examinations, establish diagnoses, and formulate treatment plans, including the interpretation of radiological reports and lab results.
• Document patient histories meticulously, issue prescriptions, and coordinate various therapies.
• Assist in surgical procedures when necessary, providing direct care before, during, and after surgical interventions.
• Manage a diverse patient caseload, maintaining high standards of care across various clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and surgical contexts.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will interact with a broad range of patients requiring orthopaedic care, from post-operative recovery to urgent consultations for acute injuries. You will be integral to delivering personalized treatment pathways that focus on restoring mobility and alleviating pain, with the goal of achieving optimal patient outcomes. Your contributions will directly influence the quality of service and satisfaction experienced by our patients.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or PhD from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of New Jersey.
• National certification as a Physician Assistant.
• DEA registration to be obtained within three months of hire.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with sound clinical judgment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably with a focus on orthopaedic specialty care.
• Experience in managing urgent referrals and performing wound care.
• Familiarity with surgical procedures and assisting in operations under the supervision of an attending surgeon.
