Work Environment

The role is based onsite in a modern hospital setting, surrounded by a collaborative team that includes five MDs and five Nurse Practitioners. Our facility is designed to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and staff alike. You will engage in a standard 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM. This structured schedule allows for a better work-life balance while ensuring consistent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patients' medical histories to formulate accurate diagnoses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests and X-rays to guide treatment plans.
• Diagnose various health conditions and recommend appropriate treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with treatment protocols and monitor patient responses to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous medical records and schedules to ensure seamless patient management.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative strategies to empower informed health decisions.
• Supervise patient health through regular follow-ups and care assessments to adapt treatment strategies as needed.
• Promote wellness by providing guidance on lifestyle modifications and health best practices.
• Contribute to the advancement of the organization through research and participation in professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Pain Management Physician Assistant, you will primarily be engaged with patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to arthritis, neuropathy, fibromyalgia, and post-surgical pain. Your focus will be on implementing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of each patient, ensuring compassionate and personalized care throughout their treatment journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, with a preference for a Master’s degree.
• Active New Jersey State Physician Assistant license and PA-C certification.
• A valid DEA number for prescribing medications is mandatory.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to educate patients clearly and effectively.
• A strong sense of ethics, alongside patience and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude, capable of collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

• A proven track record as a Physician Assistant in clinical settings, with experience in primary care, acute care, or pain management.
• Experience in health care regulations and best practices related to patient care.
• Fluency in a second language is a plus but not required.

Compensation and Benefits
